A Couple Of Mini-Albums And A Tutorial ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Hi My Sweet Friends,  Today I'm sharing a couple of fun Design Team September Projects for Imaginarium Designs.

My 1st project is a G45 Tag Mini Album in a box that I made.  I'll have a tutorial on the box and the end of my post.  For this album I used the "Heart Picket Fence", along with the "Birds On Board" from Imaginarium Designs.

To alter the chipboard I used some Americana "Butter" paint to match the G45 French Country Collection (one of my faves) after gessoing the pieces.  Here's some photos of the box and album it was so fun to make and I hope you enjoy!!

To adhere the fence I used some scoring tape on each picket for a good hold on the papers.

I used a Graphic 45 Label for the opener on the closure piece.

I also used some velcro under the closure piece and on the side piece.

Here's a few photos of the pages inside the mini album

For my 2nd project I was inspired to do a Vertical TP Mini Album.  I saw one that Lisa Gregory had done and just loved it.  So I went on YouTube and leaned how to create these cute little minis from Ginger at "My Sister's Scrapper", her work is amazing and I learned alot.

So for this mini album I used the Imaginarium Designs words "New Baby" and several of the "Ornate Oval Frames for the cover of the album and for the little tags with my scrappin buddies brand new baby girl!!  I wanted to keep the chipboard on the front white but with a little contrasts as I used white cardstock for the album and TP rolls.  I used the beautiful G45 "Little Darlings" paper line.  So, here's some photos of the mini album and chipboard and I hope you enjoy, it was a lot of fun creating these two project this month!!

This is a couple photos of the cover.  I painted the frame with some Delta Ceramcoat "Oyster White" for a little contrast from the white paper.

For the mini frames I painted them with the "Oyster White" and then painted a little Liquid Pearls "Petal Pink" for a little color.

Here's the little tutorial for the Mini Album Box that I made as promised.

To begin, measure the length, width, & height you want your box to be.  Make sure to add 1/2" in height of your box to make allowances for an embellies on your mini album.

My box here is 5"wide x 10"long x 2 3/4"height.  So my bottom would be 5 1/4"x10, my top width 1/8" larger than bottom and length would be the same as the bottom 10".  My side panels are 2.25" x 10" and the short side panels are 2 1/4" x 5 1/4".  And the closure panel is 1 1/4" x 10".  But your closure can be however wide you want it to hang off the side panel for the opening.

Lay out & distress all the corners if you wish and then adhere your duct tape or cardstock of your chosing.

Then continue to attach box from the sides with more duct tape or cardstock.

Then I cover each panel with the card stock I want to use.  I used score tape to adhere the card stock to the duct tape and it adhered really good.  After that I attach some velcro pads where you wish on the closure panel and the side panel of the box.

So there you are, it's a simple, fun, and easy box to make.  I learned from Tewtami on YouTube who has a video for this.

  5. Love it....the TP mini is adorable. I'm so impressed on how you get the rolls so flat.. Mine never seem to get there even when I iron them... Any good advice, if you have the time would be greatly valued... Thanks for sharing..hugs Lene
