Okay, so here goes, it's reveal day for our January Kit "Escape" featuring Graphic 45's "Tropical Travelogue" Collection.  What a beautiful and fun kit full of beautiful colors and images!!  Mel's included lots of goodies with this kit!  Here's a couple of photos of the kit followed by some of my projects using the kit, to see more details you can go to Scraps of Darkness.  Hope you enjoy!!

This month's quote is:    "Searching For My Lost Shaker Of Salt"

My 1st Mini Album!! ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hi Everyone,  This is some DT work for Scraps of Darkness using our December Kit "Escape" featuring Graphic 45's "Tropical Travelogue" Collection!  Beautiful colors and images!!  This is my first attempt at a mini using Graphic 45's Staples Collection Policy Envelope Album.  This was so fun!!  I can't believe how much work they are, my hat's off to those that create all those beautiful mini's I've seen online, beautifully done!!!  I used mostly kit supplies with some mini clips from Tim Holtz and some ribbon from G45.  I also used the beautiful stick pin from the ever talented Mandy.  Here's a photo of the cover and the first page.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Inside Pages of Mini Album ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hi Everyone,  Here's some photos of the inside pages of the G45 Policy Envelope Album that I did for some DT work here at Scraps of Darkness using our awesome January kit "Escape" featuring Graphic 45's "Tropical Travelogue" Collection.  I used every bit of the kit and some extra G45 papers I had on hand from the collection to complete the mini.  This was so fun, I can't wait to do some more minis in the future!!  Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!!  Your comments are deeply appreciated, love you all!!

Inside Envelope Album Tags ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

These are some tags that I made for the G45 Envelope Mini Album.  I was inspired by Elena Pana's beautiful tags over at Scrapbook.com.  I used lots of inking and some tags from the Graphic 45 "Tropical Travelogue" Collection along with some Pink Paislee's "Nantucket" Collection of papers that were included in the kit this month.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Last Sunset ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hi Everyone,  This is some DT work for Scraps of Darkness using our January Kit "Escape" featuring Graphic 45's "Tropical Travelogue" Collection--so gorgeous!!  I'm a freak for Graphic 45 and this was a blast to play with!!  These are a couple of photos of the sunset on our last night in Waikiki, we stayed right next to Diamond Head and I didn't want to leave, lol!  For this layout I used a piece of black cardstock and started layering!!  For the circle layer I used a lacing technique I learned from Natasha at "My Moments of Tranquility" blogspot.  I just love her touch.  I again used the TH Distress Inks, Vintage Photo and Soot Black.  I loved using TH's mini clips with some G45 ribbon threaded through them.  I love the colors of the photo with these papers, just perfect!!  Thanks so much for taking a peek!!  Have a wonderful week.  Hugs

Whale Watching ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Some more DT work for Scraps of Darkness using our awesome January kit "Escape" featuring Graphic 45's "Tropical Travelogue" Collection!  Beautiful colors and graphics in these papers!  This is a photo of my hubby and I whale watching in Maui two years ago.  For this one I did a lot of layering (surprise surprise).  The background paper is from G45 paper collection that's not in the kit, I had the collection and just had to use it for this layout!  I did some fussy cutting from the beautiful Rain Forest paper to surround the photo.  The two little journal "books" are an inspiration from the ever talented "Gabi" in her layout called "Bliss".  I just layered some papers on some cardstock and rolled them alittle for the "open book" look.  I also used some Tim Holtz Distress Inks "Vintage Photo and Black Soot" along with some of his "salvage stickers" from his idea-ology collection.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy!!
Here's a close-up of the little "Journaling Book" that I made using inspiration from the ever talented Gabi on her "Bliss" layout.  I used a G45 journal book image from the collection, inked it with a script stamp and then added another layer of paper and curled them in areas and then just adhered them to some cardstock for support.

On The Beach ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hi Everyone, This is some more DT work for our January "Escape" Kit here at Scraps of Darkness.  Graphic 45 are my favorite paper line so this kit was nothing but fun for me.  I also used their new Core'dinations cardstock paper, so cool you can sand, stain, or ink so fun!  I sanded the edges of the brown background which really made it look aged and soft.  I did a lot of inking with Tim Holtz Distress Inks..Vintage Photo and Soot Black.  I also used his Stampers Annoymous "Bitty Grunge" to stamp in the corners.  The type charms that say Hawaii are also Tim Holtz which I covered with Glossy Accents.  The chippy is Dusty Attic and I used the two mists in the color add on kit  "StarBurst" Golden Poppy and Gecco Green.  I've used this photo before, but it's my favorite of my dear hubby!!!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

January "Escape" Sketch

Hi Everyone, this is my take on the January sketch by Charlotte aka "Suepup" using the January "Escape" challenge.  I was so stuck on altering and using the netting, so I just painted it with the StarBurst "Jack In The Pulpit Teal and Fuzzy Navel Peach and used some gel medium to adhere it.  The swirlys I made using my vagabond.  This is a photo of my foot (weird toes and all) when I was lying on the beach on Kauai in Hawaii two years ago, wish I was right there now, lol!!  Thanks for taking a peek!!

At School with Big Brother ~~Graphic 45~~

Hello My Friends,  This is a layout of my two youngest dgs, Ethan and Elias.  Ethan is in 1st grade and on picture day they let little Elias come to school and take a pic with his big brother!!  He was so excited and happy!!  I just love me my G45 and finally got a change to play with the new ABC Primer Collection.  It does not disappoint, perfect colors and graphics!!!!!  Thanks for taking a peek!!

Mother and Child ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hi Everybody,  This is my last squeeze with the beautiful Bo Bunny "Enchanted" paper from my December kit "Winter's Eve" for Scraps of Darkness,  What a fun kit this was!  This is a photo of my dd with her boys a few weeks ago.  I just loved how the light was coming through the window onto them.  It went just perfect with the Enchanted papers.  I only wanted a little bit of colors so I used some of the Lindy's Stamp Gang mists that came with the colors add-on kit.  I also used up most of my Dusty Attic chippies as now that I'm in the Imaginarium Design DT I'll be using their beautiful products!!  Thanks for stopping by!!
