Scraps of Darkness July Kit ~~True Romance~~

Good Morning,  Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday.  Today is reveal day here at Scraps of Darkness.  Mel has put together another beautiful kit called True Romance.  It features some Prima Almanac papers, along with some Glitz "French Kiss" papers and some Carta Bella "Beautiful Moments" paper collections.  Mel has included some beautiful Prima flowers along with some wooden post cards and some beautiful trinkets to accent this beautiful kit.  Here's a photo of the kit for you.

Precious Moment ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

For this project I used the Prima "Almanac" papers from the beautiful July kit "True Romance" from Scraps of Darkness.  For this layout I started with a sketch from "Once Upon A Sketch" by Nadia and went a little further with it.  I layered a lot of papers and did some paper tearing for the corners.  I also included one of the small envelopes in the left corner for journaling.  I used my new Tim Holtz stamps (which I love) in the torn corner pieces.  This is a photo of my daughter Jenn driving to work.  Which is a precious moment of peace and quiet for her since she's a busy Mom of two boys.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Friends ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Happy Saturday My Friends, This is a DT project that I did for Imaginarium Designs.  I'm publishing it a little early because I'm leaving early Monday morning for vacation and wanted to share it with you before I left.  I used the Friends chipboard and some alphas and numbers.  To alter the chipboard I first gessoed them, then painted them white with some Folk Art paint.  I then ink around the edges with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Soot Black).  The papers are from 7 Dots Studio that Misty gave me some time ago, thanks Misty!!  So I hope you enjoy and I'll be posting some Scraps of Darkness's July kit in the a.m.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Dreams of Paris ~~Scraps of Elegance~~

Good Morning,  This is a project using the beautiful July Kit "Isn't She Lovely" from Scraps of Elegance.  It's a beautiful kit again, Mel is just amazing with matching papers from different manufacturers to work with, so fun.  This month's kit features some Graphic 45 "A Ladies Diary" which I used for this layout, along with some "A Gentler Time papers from The Paper Loft.  This is an image I think I found on Pinterest and just loved the colors in it.  The chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs which I just received in my "pizza box" from Jane for projects and I just love all the new chippies she has out now.  You should grab  some up while you can!!  I altered the chippies by first painting them with some Folk Art White and then embossed with some Tim Holtz "Seafoam" and "Tattered Rose" embossing powders.  I then inked here and there with some Soot Black and Vintage Photo.  I also made the flowers with my TH Vagabond along with some swirlys.  This is my take on a sketch from ScrapBooking Sketches on Pinterest.  Thanks so much for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy, this was a fun layout for me!

Here's a few close-ups of the flowers I made along with a Prima Trinket included in the kit.
Here's a close-ups of the Imaginarium Design chipboard pieces that I altered.

The Good Ole Days ~~Scraps of Elegance

Good Morning,  This is a project I did using the beautiful, and I mean beautiful July Kit "Isn't She Beautiful" from Scraps of Elegance.  This kit is an awesome combination of Graphic 45's "A Ladies Diary", Bo Bunny's "Little Miss", and The Paper Loft's "A Gentler Times" papers, so gorgeous together!!  There's beautiful Prima, Melissa Frances, and Dusty Attic goodies in the kit also.  You should really grab on of these kits up while you can!!  This is a photo of my Mother (sitting in the chair) that I've used before, but had to use it again with these papers.  The mini envelopes with a tag inside are from Melissa Frances, love her stuff!  I altered the tags and have a close-up below.  I used a sketch from scrapsavvy that I found on Pinterest.  Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy!!

Here's a couple of close-ups of my Melissa Frances mini tags and envelopes.  I altered them by stamping the envelopes with a script stamp.  For the tags I first used some Tim Holtz Inks for one side and painted the other side pink.  I then used a flared brush and painted on some white paint.  I then used a Prima stencil and some texture paste.

Marcina ~~Scraps of Elegance~~ Sketch Challenge

Good Morning,  Here's another project that I did with the beautiful July Kit "Isn't She Lovely" from Scraps of Elegance.  This is my take on our beautiful sketch by our ever-talented SuePup.  This is a photo of my Grandmother Marcina back in the day and I thought it went perfect with the Graphic 45 collection.  The small rose buds are from I Am Roses.  I did a little inking with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Walnut Stain and Tattered Roses).  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy, thanks so much for all the sweet comments!!

For Stormy ~~Scraps of Elegance~~

This is another project I created using the gorgeous kit "Isn't She Lovely"  from Scraps of Elegance!  I used the Graphic 45 "A Ladies Diary" again for this one.  I did a lot of layers with my left-over papers and used the Dusty Attic Frame that was included in the kit, I altered it by painting it in a Folk Art Pink and then used a flared brush to cover areas with a Folk Art White paint.  The tag in the middle is a gift from my dark sister Cheryl and I loved it some much I had to use it today, thanks Cher!!  This is a photo of my friend's niece and her dgd.  This is a really fun kit with beautiful goodies and colors to work with.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!
