Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog ~Glamour Shots Of Hoard And Tips~

Welcome Sweet Friends,  This is challenge #11 for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.

The challenge is to share your hoard and some storage tips with a glamour shot.  Today I'm sharing some shots of my little studio and some tips for storing my hoard of supplies.  I love old funky antiques and have used some in my studio.  For all my alcohol inks and paints I've used an old printer's tray I've had for some time.

On my desk (which is an antique French Country Kitchen Table) I have a 5-tray antique bread baking pan set that is attached and I just love using it for all my "special" small flowers.

I also love hand thrown ceramics.  Here on the Lost Coast we have many talented artisians and I picked up some from our Summer Arts Festival this spring that I am using for all my brushes etc.

Behind my desk I have a shelve of old redwood with some shabby chic brackets.  I've used some old cd shelves for some of my tapes, metal pieces, and mists.

And here's a glamour shot of my studio.

One lucy winner will receive this amazing prize donated by Gloria!!

Hank ~Tim Holtz~

Hi Sweet Friends, Today I'm sharing a project I did using tons of my favorite things..all Tim Holtz!!  I had some time this afternoon and had a lot of fun just doing a layout for myself.  This is a photo of my dd Jenn's bestie's little man..Hank!  I used some metal subway tickets and bolts that I altered with some Ranger Patinas to add to the vintage feel I was going for.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you've enjoyed!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous & Stencil Girl Blog Hop

This week the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog is changing it up...with a blog hop!  Challenge 10 is ready at CHACB but we are doing things a bit differently this time!  We are doing a week-long blog hop with Stencil Girl!!

Each day this week you will visit the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog to see the fabulous designs of the CHACB team, and then you will visit the Stencil Girl Blog to see what their team is doing!  For the blog hop order, see the end of the post.

NOW FOR THE CHALLENGE!  CHALLENGE #10 - SPRAY IT!  PAINT I! SMEAR IT! EMBOSS IT!

Show us your inner mixed media diva!  Use spray mists, inks, paints, modeling paste, embossing powder, pastels, chalk and whatever messy media you can find!  Let's dig into that hoard, pull out some of that "messy stuff" and use it up!  There's a messy-maker hiding in all of you!  Let her/him out to play!

Here's my project for this challenge.  I did a couple of small canvas pieces with some vintage ladies.

I first gessoed the canvas pieces and then used some light moulding paste with the beautiful Peacock Stencil from Stencil Girl..so much fun.  After that dried I started misting with some Lindy's Stamp Gang "Tainted Love Teal" and "Red Hot Poker Orange" and love the effect with the stencil.  I than gathered up some of my metal hoard and altered the pieces with some Ranger Patinas "Vertigris" and "Aged Bronze".  I also misted some white flowers with the Tainted Love Teal and Red Hot Poker Orange.  I added some hot air balloons for a bit of contrast.  I also used "white" WorldWin Paper behind the images to matt the photo paper and used my heating tool to "crack" the photo paper.

Rememeber you have 2 weeks to play in the new challenge!  CHALLENGE #10 CLOSES JUNE 29th AT MIDNIGHT PT.  Link your project using the link tool on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.
