Scraps Of Darkness ~His & Hers April Kit~ Reveal Day~

Hi Sweet Friends,  Today I'm sharing a couple of DT projects for Scraps Of Darkness using the beautiful April Kit "His and Hers".  A match made in heaven...our April Kit features two of the most gorgeous collections out there right now: Prima's Cartographer and Stationer's Desk!  We're calling this kit "His and Hers", the perfect marriage of elegant masculine and femine collections.  The possibilities of what you can do with this kit are endless.  We are honored to bring you this vintage inspired kit, and truly hope you will enjoy creating with it!

Here's a couple of projects I created with this amazing kit!  The first project is a layout using the gorgeous sketch our ever-talented Suepup created for the kit.  I just loved using the combo of the two collections for this project..Mel's done it again and created an amazing kit to work with!

For my second project I altered the Tim Hotlz Configuration Book from the Creativity Add-On Kit.  I spent some time in Paris years ago and some of the images and papers reminded me of Paris so I did a little book for my memories in France.  I altered the little bottles with some Range Alcohol Inks and I love how aged they came out.

Thanks so much for dropping by and taking a peek and I hope you enjoy and are inspired to get one of these incredible kits and start creating memories with it!!

A Little Steampunk & Vintage ~Imaginarium Designs~

Hi Sweet Friends, Today I'm sharing a couple of DT projects for Imaginarium Designs!  My first project is a layout using the Bicycle -Small, the 21 Stars On Board, and the skeleton of the Moroccan  chipboard from Imaginarium Designs.  For this layout I used a tutorial from my friend Miranda and put my touches on it for a masquline layout and love how it turned out!!  To alter the chipboard I inked them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and then applied some black ink to add a real vintage feel to the pieces.  After that I touched them up with a bit of Inka Gold Metallic Rub (Copper) which I also rubbed on all the metal pieces on the canvas.  For this project I used the beautiful Kaisercraft "Art For Life" Paper Collection and Tim Holtz Ornate Plates, stamps, and film strip along with Prima Metal Pipes and Hampton Arts "News Flash" stamp.

For my second project I did a small Steampunk canvas.  For this project I used the chipoard phrase "A Dream Is A Wish Our Hearts Make", the skeleton from the Moroccan, and the 21 Stars On A Board from Imaginarium Designs.  To alter the pieces I used Inca Gold Mettalic Rub - green and copper.  I used a small canvas that I adhered Tim Holtz "Halloween" Paper Collection to.  I also used some metal gears that I found at Michaels along with some Prima Metal from the Sunrise/Sunset Collection.  I also included several antique watch pieces.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you're inspired to create with some Imaginarium Designs Chipboard!!  Don't forget to go to Imaginarium Designs Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win some amazing chipboard!!!

CHAGB Challenge #5 Pick A Stamp, Any Stamp

Hi Sweet Friends and welcome to Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog's Challenge #5 Pick A Stamp, Any Stamp.

You don't have to be a card maker to hoard stamps!  With the popularity of pocket-style scrapbooking and the explosion of journaling stamps on the market, many scrapbookers have also become stamp hoarders.  Plus, digital stamps are more popular than ever!  I am sure that most of us have at least one stamp in our stash!  You may "collect" wood mounted stamps, clear stamps, cling rubber, or even digital!  Get one out, dust if off, and make it the STAR of your project!  We want ot see a stamp (senitment, word art, image, etc.) as the focal point of your project!  Feel free to use more than one stamp, but you must have AT LEAST ONE stamped item on your project!
Hampton Arts is our sponsor for April and one talented participant will receive this prize, donated by Hampton Arts!  The GoGo Crafter rooling tote is collapsible, allowing it to be shipped and stored flat.  It comes with two wheels and a sturdy retractable handle for transporting.  It also has interior dividers that are adjustable, removable, two interior pockets, 3 exterior side pockets for supplies and a zippered front area.  The tote can hold enough itmes for an evening crop or be a helpful "companion" at trade shows or expos.  Hampton Art founded in 1980 in picturesque Long Island, has been inspiring stampers, crafters, and paper craft enthusiats for over 20 years.  One of the earliest "art stamp: companies, Hampton Art has transformed over the years to become a complete provider of creative products such as stamps, inks, etc.

Challenge rules can be found here Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.

Here's my project for this Challenge.  I did a layout using Hampton Arts "News Flash" stamp as my focal point.

Materials Used:
Authentique "Abroad" Paper Collection
Tim Holtz Distressed Flowers Die Cut
Hampton Arts "News Flash" Stam
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Tim Hotlz Weatherd Clock Die Cut
Tim Holtz Gears Die Cut
