Little Zombies ~Scraps Of Darkness~

Happy Halloween My Friends,   This evening I'm sharing another Design Team project using the beautiful and fun October/November kit "Bon Appetit".  For this project I used some more of the Moxxie Zombie papers from the kit.  This is a photo of my grandsons Ethan and Elias acting like zombies awhile ago and the photos were perfect to use with the kit.  They even "helped" me a little and had to have some eyeballs and the "scary" tree on the layout.  Sorry no close-ups today..it's still raining here and the lighting is so bad.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you enjoy and are inspired to grab a kit and create some awesome Halloween memories for your family!  Here's my project, enjoy!

Scraps Of Darkness October Kit Reveal

Hi Sweet Friends, With Halloween just around the corner we always know there's another awesome signature kit coming from Melinda!!  Halloween is one of her favorite times of the year and her October kits are to die for..and they're always spooktacular!!  This month's kit is no exception.  Scraps Of Darkness's October Kit "Bon Appetit" is shown in the photo below.

Here's my first project using this fun kit.  I did a layout I'm calling "Frightful" using an awesome image from the amazing artist Ana Cruz with her kind permission.  Here's a couple of links to her amazing work www.facebook.com/AnaCruzArts/  and http://www.lunebleu.deviantart.com/.

I altered her image with a little blood drippings and the Scraps Of Darkness title.  I've had a thin die cut frame that I've been wanting to use so I thought I'd use it with the doilies from the kit.  I also did some layering and used some gold embossing paste here and there.  I misted the craft flowers from the kit with the Dylusions Postbox Red along with some Prima Color Bloom Spray Mist Antique Gold mist.  I also altered the gates with the same mists.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you're all  inspired to get a kit and create some great Halloween memories!!

Steampunk Halloween ~Craft Hoarders Anonymous~

Hi Everyone,  Welcome to Challenge #18 ~Layer It~ for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Challnege

One good way to use your hoard is to use lots of it all at once.  So, let's see those layers!  We need to see at LEAST THREE LAYERS on your project.  Drag out all of that hoarded paper or those embossing folders that are in the back of the drawer.  Use those stamps, dies, and punches.  Show us the layers!

One talented participant will receive this prize donated by Lindy's Stamp Gang, a $30 gift certificate to the Lindy's Stamp Gang store.

Here's my Design Team project for this challenge.  I used a beautiful photo of a little steampunk girl and decided to alter some of the metal sheets from Add A Little Dazzle (Our other sponsor for this month).  I altered them with an embossing folder first, and then used some Ranger Patinas (Earth, Antiqued Copper, and Rust) to compliment the photo.  I also used some G45 papers from my hoard!

Challenge Rules can be found here Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.  Make sure to link your project using the link tool on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog.  Make sure to visit your other Design Team members to see their wonderful projects for this challenge!
