The Boys ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hi Sweet Friends,  Here's another DT project using the unique & fun August Kit "Rustic" from Scraps of Darkness.

For this layout I used the Authentique papers from the kit.  I also used one of the Heidi Swapp File Folders again for the photo, lovin them right now!!  I also used the Ranger Patinas for the Prima Junk Yard Findings Gears by first applying the "Earth", then the "Rust", and finally applying the Verdigris.  They dry really quick so they're really great to work with.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy.

Scraps of Darkness August Reveal Day

Good Morning Sweet Friends, Today we are revealing the unique and versitile "Rustic" kit from Scraps of Darkness.

This is a really fun kit that you can take in so many directions!!  The paper collections included in the kit are from Authentique "Freedom and Honor" and their beautiful "Natural" collection along with the new "Farm House" Country Kitchen Collection.  Some of the goodies included in the kit and add-ons are some Kaisercraft Wooden Flourishes, Tim Holtz Mini Paper Clips along with some Prima Tiny Junkyard Findings (Special Screws), some really cute mini red clothespins, a clear stamp from Kaisercraft and a 6 x 6 stencil from the CraftersWorkShop.

The first project that I have started on is the Kaisercraft Recipe Book included in the Creativity Add-On kit.  I used some of the FarmHouse Country Kitchen collection for this.  I started by staining the wooden book cover with some Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo stain and after that dried I applied some Tim Holtz "Weathered Wood" Distress Paint.  I then layered some papers from the collection adhering them by using a spray adhesive.  I also used the mini red clothepins and painted the cherries included in the kit with Folk Art Red.  The Alphas are from Imaginarium Designs and were also painted with the same Folk Art Red.  I used a large burlap flower to compliment the Burlap butterfly stickers from "Little Yellow Bicycle" included in the kit along with some ribbons on the book rings that came with the kit.  I can't wait to spend some time on this cookbook and have more reveals as it progresses.

For my second project I did a layout using this month's sketch by Laura.  I used the Authentique "Natural" Collection as suggested for the sketch.  I had recently bought some Heidi Swapp Memory Files and decided to use one to showcase the photo of my handsome husband on the yacht just after we were married this summer on July 30th!!  I altered the photo in photoshop to give it a vintage feel and made several tags with my Tim Holtz die cut and used the Prima Junk Yard Findings "Special Screws" at the top of the tags.

A Moment With The Grouch ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Happy Friday My Sweet Friends,  Today I'm sharing a project I was having some fun with this afternoon.  This is a layout for my dd Jenn of her and her cousin Amber with "The Grouch" at a concert a few weeks ago in Berkeley.  I used the Kaisercraft "Base Coat, Weathered"for the bg paper and the awesome Fabscraps "Shabby Chic Stone Flower to showcase the photos on.  For the Imaginarium Designs chipboard I first altered them with some gesso and texture paste and then rubbed some rub-in-buff here and there on the pieces.  For the design I was inspired by a layout on the back of the packaging of the Fancy Pants Etcetera Decorative Paper Clips that I used in the layout.  Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!!

Inkido Guest Design Project

Today I have a some special news to share with you.  I've been asked to be a Guest Designer for Inkido, I've been having so much fun with their beautiful products and have a layout to share with you today.

This is a layout using Inkido's beautiful collection called "Beautiful Memories".  For this project I used the beautiful pinks in the collection.  I also used the "Sommar Collage - K stamp for the cut out borders around the photo.

Here's a list of the products that I used:

Butterfly Borders
Pink Butterflies
Pink Memories
Blue Angels
Beautiful Pink
Beautiful Grey
and Pink Babies

Inkido Stamps Used:
Sommar Collage - K

I know, a lot of papers for one layout, but you know how I love to layer!!  All the chipboard I used on this project are from Imaginarium Designs which I altered using gesso, texture paste and some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Tattered Rose) here and there on the chipboard.   The stick pins and the birdcage on the dressform are all from Prima.  The heart cutouts are from some Tim Holtz chipboard pieces that I had.  Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek, hope you enjoy!!

Imaginarium Designs Reveal Day

Hello My Friends, Today I have 2 DT projects to share with you for Imaginarium Designs.

The first project is a layout using the beautiful "Window and Shutters Board (IDS0058) from ID.  I first gessoed it and then stamped it in Adirondack Black using my new Kaisercraft-Texture-Clear Acryllic Stamp 36.  I used the Graphic 45 "A Ladies Diary" paperline.  I did alot of fussy cutting and layering with inking around the edges with Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" and "Walnut Stain" Distress Inks.  The photo was found on Pinterest, sorry I can't remember the link, but itsn't it perfect for the G45!!   Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

For my 2nd project I did another layout using the Imaginariun Designs "Compass with Travel" Words (IDW0019).  To alter them I used some Ranger Ink - Julie Audrus - Perfect Pearls Pigment Kit - Aged Patina.  I first used some glue medium and then applied the "Heirloom Gold" and dried that, and then added the "Patina Blue" and let that dry.  I thought the two colors went really well with the colors of the Bo Bunny "Mama-razzi 2 papers.  I used Stamper's Anonymous - Tim Holtz - Stamp Set "Classics 1". and "Filmstrip" randomly.  This is a photo of my niece Savoie (on the left) while she was back home in Idaho visiting some friends.  Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!!
