Hi Everybody, Today I'm posting a new Challenge on the Designer's Challenges forum at Scraps Of Darkness/Elegance called "Lift A Designer", so fun!!
The Challenge begins May 1st, so be sure to drop by and have some fun!!
For this challenge pick a designer whose work and style you love and have always wanted to try. You also should contact your designer and ask if it's okay with her to "lift" her work and be sure to mention and link her blog too.
You can do a complete "lift" or add some of your own style into the work if you would like.
This challenge is open to anyone and there are no requirements to use SOD/SOE kits or supplies, so we'd love to have you all come and join in!!
I've always loved Heather Jacob's work, and decided to lift from Heather. I had the pleasure of designing with her at Imaginarium Designs and she's a lovely lady full of talent!! I just love the beautiful rustic and earthy tones she uses in her work.
Here's a link to her beautiful blog: http://heatherartandlife.blogspot.com.au.
So here we go, the following is Heather's beautiful "YOU" layout that I decided to lift:
And here's my lift of "YOU"

Scraps Of Darkness ~~April Kit~~ Reveal Day
Good Morning My Friends, Today is the Design Team's Reveal Day for the April Kit "Remember When"!! This is an really fun kit chalk full of Bo Bunny's new Mama-razzi 2 papers…just love them, along with the beautiful Kaisercraft "In The Attic" paper collection. I'm loving this kit and plan to use each and every bit of paper. I didn't get my kit until 2 days ago (bad post office work) so the layouts I have to share with you today are more simple but I love how they came out.
I had taken my Grandsons Ethan, Elias, and Zach to the beach awhile ago to fly kites so the papers were perfect for some boy layouts. So here we go, I hope you enjoy them!!
My first layout is my take on the beautiful sketch by our very own Suepup. These are some photos of my Grandson Zach flying his kite on the beach, so fun to watch them. The chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs. I used some of the gorgeous Bo Bunny "Mama-razzi 2" papers from the kit.
For my second project I did another layout using the Bo Bunny "Mama-razzi 2". This is a photo of Ethan and Zach flying kites on this great beach about 30 miles from my house. It goes on forever so the kids just ran all day and slept really good that night, and so did Grandma, lol.
Here's my third project using again the Bo Bunny "Mama-razzi 2" papers from the kit. This is a photo of Ethan way down the beach, he ran with that kite more than all the boys and had a great time.
For my fourth project I again used some of the Bo Bunny Mama-razzi 2" papers from the kit. This is another photo of Ethan down the beach, I just loved this shot and thought the papers were perfect.
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed!!!

Imaginarium Designs Reveal Day
Good Morning, Hope you're all having a great weekend!! I want to congratulate all you girls that made the cut for the Graphic 45 team, WAY TO GO!!!!
I have two Design Team projects using the beautiful Imaginarium Designs chipboard to share with you today. A mini-album and a layout.
For the Mini Album I used Graphic 45's "Kraft Reflections Collection" of papers for the ID Mini Album (Book 3 sheets). I also used the Hot Air Ballons, Eiffel Tower, and the Swirl Corners which I altered by first gessoing them. After they dried I applied some embossing glue and covered with some Shimmerz Paints Enamelz (Molten Metal) and Lindy's Stamp Gang's Twilight Blue Slate. After that dried I applied some Tim Holtz Soot Black randomly.
For the cover I used some pretty brown fabric ribbon that I had in my stash. I also pop dotted the fussy cut flowers for some depth.
This page is a pocket for tags that can hold up to 6 tags. I learned this method from Michelle at ThePaperAddiction on YouTube, so fun!!
This last page shows a couple of the tags.
For my second Design Team project I did a layout using some papers from my stash from My Mind's Eye "29th Street Market". I used the beautiful new Monarch Butterflies from Imaginarium Designs and cut the large one in half to border the photo. To alter the chipboard I first gessoed them and then inked them on the bottom with some ColorBox Rose Pink, and inked with some ColorBox Silver on the top. After that dried I appled some ColorBox Mix'd Media Jasmin on the top and inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Soot Black.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek. Don't forget to go to the Imaginarium Designs Blog at http://imaginariumdesigns.blogspot.com and leave a comment to be entered to win some awesome chipboard!!!
