Zara and Madison ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
This is a layout I did for my niece Zara using the beautiful November kit "Purple Haze" here at Scraps of Darkness. This is a couple of photos from a photo shoot this fall. I used the beautiful Bo Bunny Garden Girls papers and got to use some of my new texture fades with the Vagabond. The embossed papers were then inked with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Concord Grape), so fun!! I loved the Prima Shabby Chic Resin Treasures so I added some more on this layout also, lol!! I also used the "Garden Girl" rub-ons and Die Cuts from the kit. Hope you enjoy!!! Thanks so much for taking a peek!!!
Picture Perfect ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
Hi Everyone, This is some canvas work that I did using the beautiful new November kit "Purple Haze" here at Scraps of Darkness. I first painted the canvas with white Gesso and let that dry, then I applied some Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint and let that dry. I had some much fun with the Vintaj Metal in the add-on kit and my new Vagabond!! I embossed the metal and buffed them. Then I used the small hooks to attached them together and added some purple and pink flowers. The lace behind the photo I found at an antique store. I placed the photo so low on the page because the flowers on the papers seemed to frame things nicely!!! I love the new Prima Shabby Chic Resin Treasures and couldn't help myself..I had to use them on this layout too!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and your sweet comment, they mean a lot and I read them all!!!
Why Don't We Do It In The Road ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
Hi Everyone, This is another layout using the incredibly beautiful November kit "Purple Haze" here at Scraps of Darkness. This is a photo of my niece's dd Madison this fall on a photo shoot. I used the awesome Bo Bunny Garden Girls papers for this layout and did a lot of layering with some inking, using Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Concord Grape & Vintage Photo). Love the colors in this kit, so fun to work with!!!
You and Me ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
Hi Everyone, This is a layout I did using our November kit "Purple Haze" for Scraps of Darkness. This is a photo of my friends dd Amy with her little niece, so cute!! I used some of the Basic Grey "Indie Bloom" papers in the kit, such gorgeous papers. I used the Crafter's Workshop "Tye Dye" template and inked between the papers and on the border at the bottom. I also got to play with the great metal add-one kit. I used the Vintaj metal and a Sissix texture block for the impression on the metal and buffed them out for the gold shine, so much fun!!!! I also punched some eyelets and stitched some jute for some texture.
Retreat 2011 ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
This is a layout of my take on the beautiful sketch that Suepup did for our November "Purple Haze" kit!! It's full of some groovy colors and patterns!! For this layout I used a Dusty Attic frame and gate and used some Tim Holtz Distress Paint (Picket Fench). I also used it on the gate pieces and the chipboard alphas and then stamped with a script stamp in Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Concord Grape). I also used some Prima Shabby Chic Resin Treasures, love them!! The beautiful heart in the flower cluster is from Prima (Amore Violet). Hope you enjoy, and thanks so much for stopping by!!
Little Betty ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
Hi Everyone, This is another layout using the November "Purple Haze" kit here at Scraps of Darkness. This is a photo of my friend's kids and her granddaughter. She looks just like her great-grandma Betty, so the title. I used some of the Bo Bunny Garden Girl along with some of the rub-ons and stickers from the kit. I inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Concord Grape. Thanks for taking a peek!!

These are some examples of some layouts I've done using chipboard. I love Imaginarium Designs and their chipboard and they have some design team openings. I created this post to showcase some of my work with chipboard for them to see. Wish me luck!!

Hi Everyone, I hope you're all having a great weekend! This is my last "squeeze" from my October "All Hallows Eve" here at Scraps of Darkness. This is a creepy good image from CrystalRain at Creative Souls, I love her work. I'm feeling under the weather today as I had a shot in my shoulder Thursday afternoon, and think I'm having a bit of a reaction. I'll include some more details later. Thanks for taking a peek!!!

Madison ~~Prima~~
Hello My Friends, This is a layout of my niece's dd Madison. I had some old Prima papers and thought they'd be perfect for this sweet photo. It's so nice having a little girl in the family to scrap!! I used some Dusty Attic chippies that I altered and there is a close-up below with the details. Thanks for taking a peek, hope you all had a wonderful Halloween!!
Close-ups and techniques for flourish on "Madison"
This is a close-up of the Dusty Attic Flourish that I altered. I used a tutorial from Natasha's (My Moments of Tranquility). First I painted the chipboard white and let that dry. I then ran it through my Vagabond using a Tim Holtz Texture Fade. After that I added some Smooch (Pink) and then rubbed away the excess. After that I put a heavy coat of Tim Holtz Rock Candy. I did the same for the three butterflies. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy!!
