Marcina ~~Scraps of Elegance~~ Sketch Challenge

Good Morning,  Here's another project that I did with the beautiful July Kit "Isn't She Lovely" from Scraps of Elegance.  This is my take on our beautiful sketch by our ever-talented SuePup.  This is a photo of my Grandmother Marcina back in the day and I thought it went perfect with the Graphic 45 collection.  The small rose buds are from I Am Roses.  I did a little inking with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Walnut Stain and Tattered Roses).  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy, thanks so much for all the sweet comments!!

For Stormy ~~Scraps of Elegance~~

This is another project I created using the gorgeous kit "Isn't She Lovely"  from Scraps of Elegance!  I used the Graphic 45 "A Ladies Diary" again for this one.  I did a lot of layers with my left-over papers and used the Dusty Attic Frame that was included in the kit, I altered it by painting it in a Folk Art Pink and then used a flared brush to cover areas with a Folk Art White paint.  The tag in the middle is a gift from my dark sister Cheryl and I loved it some much I had to use it today, thanks Cher!!  This is a photo of my friend's niece and her dgd.  This is a really fun kit with beautiful goodies and colors to work with.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!
Here's a close-up of the frame and Prima tricket.

Getting Ready ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Hi My Friends,  This is a June project I did for Imaginarium Designs that I'm sharing with you today.  This is the Graphic 45 "Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection.  I'll tell you, I did a lot of fussy cutting for lots of butterflies on this layout, lol!!  This is a photo of my dd's best friend and her hubby.  They finally had a beautiful baby boy!

I altered the chippies by painted them with some Folk Art "Wicker White".  I wanted to keep them simple and clean to really pop on the page.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

You & Me ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Hello Again, This is my last reveal day layout.  This is another project that I used the 7 Dots Studio Wonderland Collection for, just love those papers!!!  This is an amazing kit and you guys should grab one up while you can!!  For this design I made a lot of little banners for the bottom half along with a small banner of circles under the frame.  The chipboard is from the amazing Imaginarium Designs.  I altered them by painting them white with some Folk Art "Wicker White" and then used a fanned paint brush to lightly paint the frame with some Folk Art Brown.  Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your sweet blog hugs!!

Here's a couple of close-ups of the chipboard work and the little circle banner.

Pretty Lady ~~Scraps of Elegance~~

Hello again my beautiful friends, this is my first layout with the June Kit "Country Charm".  This is my take on June's sketch challenge using a beautiful sketch from our ever-talented SuePup.  This is a photo of my Mom when she was pregnant with me at the Unknown Soldier in Washington D.C. in 1953.  I used the beautiful Donna Salazar "Botanique" Collection.  These papers are just beautiful with a real shabby country charm to them.   The little "tickets" are from Webster's Pages Fabric Tickets Collection.  The beautiful resin pieces are from Prima's Shabby Chic Treasures Collection.  The stamping in the corners are from Tim Holtz which I inked using the Prima's Ingvild Bolmee Rusty Bucket inker in the kit.  The gorgeous butterflies are from our very own Renea, thanks sista!  Thanks so much for stopping by, your sweet thoughts mean so much!!
