Prima Ballarinas ~~Scraps of Elegance

This is another DT project using the beautiful May Kit "Swan Song".  For this project I used some of the gorgeous Prima Fairy Belle papers.  I used a great sketch from Stuck on Sketches by Sandi Clarkson.  I had a lot of fun with this sketch.  I did a lot of layering and distressing of the papers.  The blue and brown buttons to the right of the photo are from Pink Paislee's London Market that I inked with Tim Holtz's Broken China and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  The gorgeous chandelier Drops are from Melissa Frances.  Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Vintage Chic ~~Scraps of Elegance~~

Hello my beautiful friends,  Well, I finally got a little caught up and the shoulder is feeling pretty good so I was able to get another layout done for DT work with the April Scraps of Elegance kit.  I just loved the pink and browns in this kit so I grabbed all the scraps I had and was able to get one more project out of it!!

This is a really cool photo of my husband's niece who lived in Long Beach, Los Angeles.  It's a vintage photo of her and a bunch of buddies.  Irl the photo truly looks really old, so fun!!

The chipboard are Imaginarium Designs which I altered with some Folk Art Wicker White paint  and then embossed with some TH "Seafoam" Distress Embossing Powder.  I have some close-ups below.

April Reveal Day for Scraps of Darkness

Good Morning My Friends,  This is reveal day here at Scraps of Darkness for our beautiful April Kit called "Sakurabana"!  It's a mixture of some beautiful Bo Bunny's Serenity Collection, Glitz's Happy Trails Collection, and FabScraps Classic Lace Collection along with Prima Flowers and Melissa Frances Resins.  The add-ons kits are really beautiful.  The colors in the photos  don't do justice to the red's and blues in this kit, they're incredible.  Here's a couple of photos of the kit for you.

Erykah Badu Concert ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Good Morning My Dear Friends,  This is a project that I did for some DT work here at Scraps of Darkness.  I used the gorgeous April kit "Sakurabana".  I really loved the beautiful reds and blues in this kit, the papers are really beautiful.  For this layout I did a lot of layering and ink and used some beautiful chipboard from our collection here at Imaganarium Designs.  I painted them with some Folk Art "Linen" paint as it matched the cream colors in the papers just perfectly.  This is a photo of my daughter Jenn and her cousin Amber at a Erykah Badu concert a few years back.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Easter Sunday ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

This is another project I did using the beautiful April Kit "Sakurabana" for Scraps of Darkness.  This is a beautiful kit full of ruby reds, soft blues, and beautiful creams.  This is a photo of my 2 grandsons Ethan and Elias on Easter Sunday.  I made a banner out of some of my scraps from the kit and the rosettes were made with my Tim Holtz Vagabond.  Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy!!

My Little Man ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Good Morning,  This is another Design Team project that I did using the April Kit "Sakurabana" for Scraps of Darkness.  The papers I used are from the new Bo Bunny "Serenity" Collection along with some FabScraps Classic Collection.  The ruby reds and subtle blues and creamy whites are really beautiful and so fun to work with.  I did a lot of fussy cutting and inking.  The chipboard is from our awesome collection here at Imaganarium Designs.  I painted them with some Folk Art Linen paint to match the soft creams in the papers.

This is my take on our beautiful SuePup's sketch for April and is a photo of my daughter Jenn with her oldest Ethan this Easter Sunday.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!
