Childhood Memories ~~Scraps of Darkness~~

Good Morning,  I'm excited to share a canvas piece that I did using the August Kit, from Scraps of Darkness!  This was so fun to create.  I started with the 5x7 canvas that came in the add on kit.  First step was to gesso the entire canvas.  I then took some script tissue paper and stamped some Tim Holtz "Bitty Grunge" with Adirondack Eathtones "Pitch Black".  I then tore that and glued that onto the top and bottom corners of the canvas.  Be sure to dry the Gesso completely before stamping.  For the next step I used the Lumiere "Halo Blue Gold" and the Lumiere "Citrine" and painted the entire canvas.  After that had dried I used some molding paste and "set" the 3x3 mini canvas on top of that and continued to add molding paste around the mini canvas and also around the edges of the canvas.  While the molding paste was still wet I added in some steampunk mini gears and watch parts along with some of the "Midnight" micro beads from the kit and let that dry.  I then took the Lumiere colors and again painted over the molding paste.  After that I used some Adirondack Alcohol Ink "Slate" and some Adirondack Mixatives "Copper" and used my finger to spread that around on the edges.  For the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard pieces I also used the same colors as on the rest of the canvas for a monochromatic feel.  To finish it off I added some copper beads and Vintaj metal pieces.  Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy!

Here's a couple of close-ups of the techniques I used for my canvas project.  You can see the micro beads and mini steampunk pieces in the molding paste.  For the Imaginarium Designs chipboard I used all three Lumiere colors along with some "Ocean Blue" Liquid Pearls and some Adirondack Alcohol Ink "Copper" and "Slate" that I spread around with my finger.  This was such a fun project and I hope to have a tutorial soon with another project for you.

Time Together ~~Scraps of Darkness~~ August Kit

Good Morning, I have another project from the colorful August Kit "Jamaican Sun" from Scraps of Darkness.  For this layout I again used the "Indie Chic" Collection from My Mind's Eye from the kit.  This is a photo of my #1 Grandson Kenneth with one of my brothers playing their annual football toss in the lake.  I did some fussy cutting and used the cute "Indie Chic" Collection Garland and one of the die cuts from the same collection.  I also used a few Tim Holtz metal corner pieces for a little masculine touch.  We got our kits a little late this month so these are not too details this month.  Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Preciou Baby Girl ~~Scraps of Darkness ~~ August Kit

Good Morning,  This is another DT project using the beautiful August kit "Jamaican Sun" for Scraps of Darkness.  For this layout I used the colorful "Indie Chic" from My Mind's Eye.  The chipboard on the tag is from Imaginarium Designs, and I altered it with some brown paint and let that dry.  I then painted it with some "Ocean Blue" Liquid Pearls and added some of the micro beads from the kit.  The roses are from I Am Roses.  Everything on the layout is from the the kit except for the roses.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Summer Time ~~Scraps of Darkness~~ August Kit "Jamaican Sun"

Good Morning, Here's another DT project using the beautiful August Kit , for Scraps of Darkness.  For this layout I used the oh so pretty papers from The Scrap Cake.  These papers are the prettiest soft tones!!  I used the "Mr. Huey Mask, Chevron" on the corners of the bg paper.  I made the rosettes using my Tim Holtz Die Cut and Vagabond.  I also used a Tim Holtz Stamp for the tags above the photo.  The tiny flowers are from Prima and the brads are from My Mind's Eye "Indie" collection.  The mini roses are from Websters Pages "Whimsies" collection.  I used a beautiful sketch by Sarah R. for ScrapBooking Sketches.  This is a photo of my family while we were camping last month at Lake Tahoe.  Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!

Riding With Dad ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Hello My Friends,  Today is a fun day, I am sharing a couple of DT projects that I did for Imaginarium Designs.  For this layout I used the "Need For Speed" (IDP #0010) chipboard along with the Mini Cogs (IDT0004).  To alter the phrase and the cogs I first painted with some Gesso.  I then used some Stampa Rosa "Detail Copper" Embossing Powder and used my heating tool to "melt" it.  After that had dried I painted all the pieces with some Liquid Leaf "Florentine Gold" and let that dry.  When everything was nice and dry I used some Tattered Angels "Sapphire" Glimmer Mist in a random fashion, with some thick drops here and there.  They look like aged rust irl, so fun!!

Don't forget to stop by http://imaginariumdesigns.blogspot.com and leave a comment for a chance to win some free chipboard!!

Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!!
