Baby It's Cold Outside ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
Hi Everyone, Today I'm sharing a couple of projects using the gorgeous December "Winter Wonderland" Kit from Scraps of Darkness.
For this project I used the Authentique "Glistening" papers along with some of the reds from the Fancy Pants's "Timbergrove" collection in the kit. I just love all the beautiful embellies this month and used some of the Prima flowers along with some Tim Holtz Die Cuts. This is a photo of my hairdresser and friend Christina and her family on a photo shoot on the first day of snow. Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy!!
For my second project I used the Bo Bunny Woodland collection from the kit along with some reds again from the Fancy Pants Timbergrove papers. I used the Christmas tree and snow flakes chipboard from the kit from Leaky Shed and added some Happy and Merry Christmas phrases and small presents from Imaginarium Designs. To alter the chipboard I painted them with some of the Luminarte Silks Acrylic Glazes (Silver Bells and Bolivian Blue) from the color add-on in the kit and some Stickles "Icicle" and then rubbed some Rub n Buff Copper here and there. I also had fun using the Snow Pen from for the area around the base of the trees around the presents, way fun to use. I used a stencil with some grey Silks and then rubbed on some copper rub n buff around the chipboard and stencil work and here and there on the papers.
Thanks again and I hope you enjoy!!

~~Scraps of Darkness~~ December Kit Reveal
Merry Christmas Sweet Friends, Today I'm sharing the reveal of December's beautiful kit "Winter Wonderland" from Scraps of Darkness along with the beautiful sketch for this month by Suepup.
"Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland"
The design team will be revealing our work as we complete projects. With the holidays we're just going to post them as we create, so here's photos of the kit and sketch. This kit includes Bo Bunny's "Woodland & Winterland" paper collection, Fancy Pants's "Timbergrove" collection, and Authentique's "Glistening" collection. Mel has filled this gorgeous kit with lots of glistening embellishments and goodies including some gorgeous "Silks" paints in the Color Add-On kit which I'm having a blast working with right now. I should have a couple project to share in a couple days. Enjoy!!

Happy Days ~~Imaginarium Designs~~
Merry Christmas to you all!!!!
I'm sharing a project that I did using Imaginarium Desings chipboard. This is a photo of my dear friends and all their kids on their ranch. I loved the photo in the sepia and thought the papers from Reflections were perfect for it. I used the chipboard phrase "Happy Days" and altered it by painting it with some cream acrylic paint to match the paper colors.

Christmas Tree Adventure & Winter Wonderland ~~Imaginarium Designs~~
Hi Again Sweet Friends, Today I'm sharing a couple of DT projects for Imaginarium Designs.
For my first project I used the beautiful 7 Dots (9th Wave) paper collection. I loved the colors of these papers and wanted to do a monocromatic layout using the Alphas as a photo mat and the cute little Christmas Trees from Imaginarium Designs. To alter the chipboard I first gessoed them and after they dried I dry brushed some Range Ink - Perfect Pearls Embellishing Pigment - Aged Patinas to the chipboard and I love the results. After that I applied a dab of gesso here and there on the chipboard.
I used a couple of Tim Holtz Stencils with moulding paste on the layout and applied the Perfect Pearls to that after dried. For the Christmas Trees I used a white felt pen to outline the design of the trees. I used Tim Holtz's Christmas Wreath Die Cut, I thought it was perfect for this layout!! This cute photo is of my niece's little guy Carter leaving to go in search of the perfect Christmas Tree. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!
For my second project I did a layout using the beautiful babble ornaments, Merry Christmas, Twigs, and Two Reindeers. To alter the chipboard pieces I first gessoed them and after they dried I painted them with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Weathered Wood). After that I applied some glitter to all the pieces. Sorry the light's not that great today and the sparkle of the pieces just doesn't show too well, but it's beautiful in real life!! I also used some Tim Holtz Stencils with gesso along with some Tim Holtz "Snow Flurries" and "Baroque" behind and on the sides of the photo. The paper line is from Bo Bunny's Christmas Collection from last year. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

The Family ~~Scraps of Darkness~~
Hi Everyone, I'm sharing another DT project this evening using the beautiful November Kit "Water Lillies" from Scraps of Darkness. For this layout I used the beautiful pastel papers from Pink Paislee's Color Wash from the kit. I have one below that I did using these papers and my niece really liked it (I guess the colors match her living room) so I made her another one for a matching pair.
I used lots of scraps that I tore and inked for the background along with lots of stamping using Tim Holtz's stamps. I also used some of the crinkle ribbon in the background from some bold colors to match the other layout. Thanks again for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you enjoy!!

"Love This" ~~Scraps Of Darkness~~
Good Morning Sweet Friends, Today is the Scraps Of Darkness Design Team Reveal Day for the November Kit "Water Lillies". This is a beautiful and versitle kit that includes papers from 7 Dots Studio "7th Wave" by Finnabair, Carta Bella's "Wildflower" collection, and Pink Pailsee's "Color Wash" Collection. My first project is a layout using 7 Dots Studio-7th Wave papers.
I did a lot of layering for this layout and used Tim Holtz's "Weathered Clock Face" Die Cut along with a chipboard clockface from Imaginarium Designs. I first dry brushed some Ranger Perfect Pearls Patinas on the chipboard and then lightly sprayed them with some Goosebump to give it a seal and bit of luster. This is a photo of my niece's little guy Parker, such a little cutie and always with a smile!
And here's a totally different project using the beautiful and versitle November Kit "Water Lillies" from Scraps Of Darkness.
For this layout I used the beautiful papers from the Pink Paislee "Color Wash" Collection from the kit. I loved doing something different using some pastel colors with a few bold colors also from the kit. I did a lot of background stamping with some Tim Holtz stamps and used some torn scraps from the papers. I backed the Pink Paislee Color Wash Tag with some cardstock that I sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang-Mad Hatter Collection Mist-Cheshire Cat-Cherry from the kit. I also just had to use more of the rustic butterflies from Prima's "Bark Sharpes"…just love them!! The green rhinestones are from the kit also.
This is a photo of my sweet niece, Zara and her husband Wayne on a Fall photo shoot.
