Hi Sweet Friends,  Today I'm sharing another project using the March Kit "Radioactive" from Scraps of Darkness.  I'm having so much fun with this kit!!  I created a mixed media layout using the fantastic Artist Rola Chang's work.  I used the combination of all the paper collections from the kit and used the Shimmerz Dazzlers "Lemon Drop" and "Grapetastic" with a Prima stencil and also watered down the "Grapetastic" and splattered it about in the background.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy and are inspired to create some fun mixed media projects with this awesome kit!!

Scraps of Darkness March Kit "Radioactive" Reveal Day

Hi Sweet Friends, Today I'm sharing a couple of DT projects for Scraps Of Darkness's March Kit "Radioactive"!!  This is an amazing kit for spring with lots of lush bright colors for you!  The kit contains papers from Amy Tangerine "Plus One" collection, Bo Bunny's "Our Little Monster" collection, and Studio Calico's "Lemon Lush" collection.  With lots of Prima goodies and a little something from Tim Holtz...Mel has outdone herself with this kit!!!

Here's a photo of this month's Sketch for our ever-talented Suepup and my take on it.  For this layout I used some of the Simmerz Dazzlerz Dreamscicle from the color kit for the stencil work in the background with a Prima stencil along with the stencil from the kit.  I also painted the Studio Calico Wood Veneer pieces and butterflies with some of the The Crafter Collection Dual Brush Pens from the Color Add On kit.

For my second project I again used the beautiful Prima Bloom paper collections and did some stamping with Prima's Bloom Collection Clear Stamps.

Here and Now ~Scraps of Darkness~

Hi Sweet Friends,  Welcome to the Scraps of Darkness Design Team Reveal Day!!  This is a beautiful kit full of goodies.  I love working with black and beige and so for me this kit was perfect!!  First I'm sharing a bit of a mixed media layout.  For this project I used the Kaisercraft "Art Of Life" paper collection along with the Fabscraps "French Heritage" paper collection from the from the kit and did a lot of misting and stamping.  I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Mists from the Color Add-On Kit, Bodacious Blush, and Opal Sea Oats for the background and flowers.  The stamping was done with Prima Chalks.

For my second project I again used the Kaisercraft "Art Of Life" and FabScraps "French Heritage" papers from the kit.  I love the combination of these two paperlines together.  I misted the black flowers with some of the Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals "Pretty In Pink" along with some Prima Chalk "Old Rose".

And for my Third Layout I again used the combination of the two paperlines from the kit.  Again I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst mists "Dark Chocolate Truffle", Bodacious Blush, and Opal Sea Oats for the background.  I also used the Vecchi's Cleary For Art Moulding Film for the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers and stamped them.

Thank for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you're inspired to create some wonderful projects with the kit!!

~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Hi Sweet Friends,  Today I'm sharing a Design Team project for Imaginarium Designs.  For my first project I decided to do a Valentine's Day Mixed Media layout.

This is a photo of my dear friend's daughter Amy on a vintage photo shoot.  To alter the Imaginarium Designs chipboard I inked them with Prima - Ingvild Bolme Chalks - Fall Leave and Vintage Pink.  After they dried I applied some Shimmerz Texturez Paint - Brick Wall and Sandy Stone.

Materials I Used:
Prima Alamanac Paper Collection
Prima Vintage Trinkets Metal - Sunrise Sunset Collection
Prima Chalks
Cottage Cuts Leafy Foliage (4x6)
Memories Ink - Soft Rose
Ranger Archival Ink - Black
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain
Tim Holtz Stamps Set
Shimmerz Paints - Texturez - Brick Wall and Sandy Stone

For my second project I decided to use a photo of Artist and Illustrator Rola Chang's Watercolor Painting.  Heather Jacob gave this to me and I love her art!!  To alter the chipboard I painted them with Lumiere Paints - "Metallic Rust" and "Citrine" and then randomly inked some Prima Chalk "Black Soot".

Materials I Used:
Graphic 45 "Birdsong" Paper Collection
Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Vintage Photo and Black Soot"
Lumiere Paints "Metallic Rust" and "Citrine"
Imaginarium Designs Chipboard (Cross Hatch IDDL0001)
Metal Charms

Don't forget to go to Imaginarium Designs blog and leave a comment for a chance to win some beautiful chipboard!!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek and I hope you've enjoyed and are inspired to create with some Imaginarium Designs chipboard!!

Gettin Hitched ~Scraps Of Darkness~ February DT Reveal Peak

Hi Sweets, Today I'm sharing another Design Team project, this time for Scraps of Darkness and their February Kit "A Touch Of Grey".  This is an incredible kit full of Kaisercraft's "Art Of Life" paper collection, Authentique's "Abroad" paper collection, and FabScraps beautiful "Butterfly Pink" with soft pinks that accent the other collections perfectly...Mel's done it again!!

This is my take on February's Sketch by our ever-talented Suepup!!  I used some photos of my daughter's friend Sweet Melissa and her hubby when they got their "Gettin Hitched" photos at a tow truck junkyard..how cool is that!!  I really loved using the Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi's Clearly for Art Whitecout Modeling Film.  You can stamp, ink, and die cut the material and heat it up and mold it to whatever shape you wish.  And if you don't like it..just heat it up again and start over.  So here's my creation, hope you enjoy!!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challege Blog ~Challenge #3 - Vintage or Retro Style~

Hi Sweet Friends,  Welcome to Challenge #3 for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog!!

Challenge #3 is a challenge to create something "Vintage or Retro".  Graphic 45 is our sponsor for this month, so let's see what you can make in a vintage or retro style.  Do you hoard lace or vintage hat pins?  Do you snap up all the postcards at yard sales?  Do you love mid-century modern?  Do you long for avocado appliances and orange shag carpets?  Show your vintage or retro spin on a paper crafting project.

One lucky winner will receive this prize donated by our sponsor for March, Graphic 45!  Graphic 45 is an award-winning scrapbook and paper crafting company - owed and operated by a mother (Diane Schultz) and her 2 daughters (Aimee and Charee Filimoehala).  Together they create vintage-inspired crafting products that capture the flamboyant style of the 1920s and 30s - with vibrant color, irresistible texture, and imaginative design to create products with decades-old appeal that's both fresh and familiar.  Let their products inspire your next scrapbook layout, card, album, or home decor project.  Please visit the Graphic 45 website or facebook page for more information.

How fun is that...my favorite things!!  For this project I decided to use Graphic 45's 12 x 12 Matchbook Box and alter it to sort of a travel keepsake box with some Tim Hotlz Feet, which includes a mini album and some postcards.  I love using G45 and Tim Holtz together so I decided to use papers from two of his collections and I found myself thinking of a family from the States moving to Paris to open a bakery..so that's what I created a kind of memory box to have on a desk in the library, and had so much fun with it that I hated to quit!!!  Here's a couple of photos of the Matchbook Box

And now I'd like to share the cover of the mini album and inside pages.  Hope you enjoy!!

Materials I used:
Ranger Patinas Earth, Verdigris, Moss
Tim Holtz Distress Stains Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain
